Sending daily camp videos out into the world isn’t easy.

So many camps have great social teams. You see a ton of this on the timeline. Curated and edited, set to music. And they look awesome.

There’s another kind of content out there though that camps can lean on. A kind that’s a bit more organic, message-based, and gives a certain level of authenticity to what’s happening.

These are daily vlog (for lack of a better word) style posts. You turn the camera on yourself and show what camp is like in the moment.

Another Kind of Camp Video

Jack has been posting these at the beginning of summer, in conjunction with what’s happening at camp. One of them is just the kids doing a bunch of activities like slingshots, pickleball and some other odds and ends.

We wrote last week about turning the camera on and eliminating info in an effort to get more things out in the world. Here’s that piece.

I (Doug) wanted to show you another example of this from Iain McClements at Camp Twin Creeks. He’s posting these on YouTube each day.

One is super simple, the camp day ending with a pool party, sunset AND hot chocolate. It’s the camp day as it happened, no script and no edit suite. Just some kids in the background enjoying the pool.

Organized Mass Chaos at Twin Creeks

My favorite is the one about OMC, Organized Mass Chaos. In Iain’s words:
